2007 Volvo V70 SE 2.4 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Nice, but not worth the cost to repair

Faults:

A/C broken.

New thermostat.

Wheel bearings.

ABS sensors.

Various suspension parts.

All was expensive. And there was probably more faults, just can't remember right now. I did look after the car and made sure it got every oil change and any work it needed. Bought used in good condition with full history.

General Comments:

The V70 is a large comfortable estate car from Volvo. Mine is dark red with beige leather interior. Very nice to look at and be in.

The car drives very well, smooth and fast. Economy is poor by today's standard at 28 mpg.

Lots of space, this car is ideal for a travelling executive or use as a family load lugger. I believe this model was also popular in the police force.

Had it over 7 years now and spent a fortune on it. Just not worth it in my opinion. Yes it is a nice car, but anytime something went wrong it was very expensive to sort. Local mechanics always complained to me they hated working on these cars and parts were hard to get hold of. Volvo dealers were also useless and just not interested, especially in older cars.

Don't get me wrong - this is a good car generally if you get a good one, but in my opinion they are overrated and not worth it for most people. My car is over 15 years old now and has high mileage so I'll likely scrap it if anything else goes wrong.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
