No problems; it is still going strong.
Need paint and some restoration effort.
This car was my fathers since 69. I have the car for 10 years. It's been very reliable, and I've never had any big problems with it.
The '69 is my favorite year Skylark. I have been waiting for someone to put an informative and interesting review of the '69 Skylark on this site.
I'm still waiting!
My family's experience with the '69 Skylark was not that inspiring, I'm afraid.
My dad bought it new, and was quite proud about having a new car. It was a yellow body with black top, a 2-door Special Edition. Oddly enough, it came with a 6-cylinder (so says my dad).
I was only about 3 or 4 when we had it, so I barely remember it, but it didn't last long. The transmission quit on it after it was only about 3 years old. Hence, his often quoted saying of "If your life is going along easily and you need to have some problems to spice things up, just buy a Buick and you'll have all the problems you could want."
Anyway, he traded it on a new '71 Charger, so it worked out for the best.
