"The best investment ever"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Automatic Transmission went after 70,000 miles. Automatic Traction Control went bad after 45,000 miles. Top Rattles.

General comments?

Overall this car is the best thing I ever bought. I purchased an after-market hard top for it which made it even better. I don't buy expensive tires for the car. I bought my last tires at Pep Boys for $139.00 each and they ride 10x better than the Goodyear GSC tires that came on it. If you are looking for a great car that can reach 150 plus miles per hour and corner better than any other car, buy a Corvette. It is American as well which shows that you are not a poser driving a Porsche or BMW.

I have driven quite a few Vettes including your year. I currently have a 2000 Viper with the close ratio 6 speed. As you indicated Vettes are absolutely the best all time performers, but somehow I outpass them... but again its not a Corvette just a Viper...right?

Yes and you paid $30000 more for your car.

I love the muscle of my 1992 convertible Vette, but I also like the finesse and reliability of my 1983 911 Porsche.
