The heater coil went out at approximately 87,000 miles.
Heater coil went out at 91,000 miles. Apparently a bad part, as a hole was found in it.
This is a very comfortable car.
I love the system check, because it makes me feel safe knowing the overall condition of the car.
I love the power and speed when it is needed. My son was very impressed with its response.
For a two-door car, it is so easy to settle into the back seat and then easily exit by putting one foot onto the pavement/ground and then lifting the body up and out of the car.
Did the car come with instructions on how to get out of the back seat, or did you figure that out all by yourself?
HAHAHAHAHAHA that's hilarious.
I'm interested in buying one of these beautiful cars.
I thought I wanted another BMW850i 'cause I had one in Deutschland a few years ago, but now I've seen the prettier MKVIII, I want one.
But my question is, How do I get out from the front seat? (I intend to drive it.)
Is it a similar procedure to exiting from the back seat?
I suppose I could always follow one, next time I see one on the road and wait til it stops and the owner gets out, and watch how they do it.
Maybe he (or she) will let me have a go, so as I can see if I can master it, but any help will be gratefully received.
Buy a mercedes Cl or Sl 600. They are funner to drive and the mercedes customer support will give you explicit instructions on entering and exiting the vehicle, lincoln's customer support is worthless.
OK...enough with the immature sarcasm already!
Anyways..thanks for the review, I'm looking into buying a 1996 Pearl Mark VIII with only 48K on the clock. I love the Mark VIII!
The only Mark VIII worth getting is the LSC model, preferably a 1997 or 1998 with the cool HID headlights and neon taillights...
Agreed, the reviewer made himself look a little funny with making a big deal over the back seat egress. However, he may have been simply trying to make the point that this car is so easy to get in and out of. Not all cars are, especially many smaller cars in which you feel as though you are trying to pull yourself up out of a hole when climbing out of the back seat. I have experienced these cars, when you swing your leg out of the doorjamb and you find that you're already practically sitting on the ground, and need to put your hand on the pavement to stand up. So in that sense, I think I can see where he's coming from.
I am getting a 1997 lsc this week with 62000 miles on it.When I drive this car, as well as other lsc, I noticed how quick the engine revs up, but wonder if there's a problem in the throttle as it becomes very mellow and takes such a time to rev down.It kills the fun out of the engine in my opinion.Any suggestion about that.My previuos car was a 1998 riviera supercharged, and even if not as quick in the acceleration it had an overall response more agressive.
OK guys I have 2 Lincoln Mark VIII'S.I love both of mine one is the 1996 75th ann. edition and yes the back seats are hard to get out of but when you own one the love for the car will for sure over rule the trouble of the back seat.there are no major problems with these cars if purchased with in reasonable condition.
Thanks, Joe B
