Bad electricals, as with all Laforza's or Italian cars for that matter. Repaired with an electrical upgrade.
When I first got the car, it acted up in certain areas, due to lack of use. It's fine now.
Temperature gauge reads hot, yet the temperature is fine. I got a lower thermostat anyway because the stock thermostat was 195 degrees, which is iffy. I got a 180 degree thermostat installed.
The car accelerates as maybe a Bronco of the same year would (same 5.0 Ford V-8). It has a premium exhaust, which helps.
I hear superchargers help the performance of these SUV's in a big way.
Comfortable seats with Italian leather.
Gets a lot of attention. It may sound shallow, but I do enjoy that.
I have had no road rage challenges in this car, due to size I'm guessing.
Bad gas mileage (10/16) is a trade-off I'm willing to take for now, but it may start to wear on me.
Nice design that was copied by later Land Rover, Range Rovers; it's a fact (check out the rear of an 89 Laforza, then a 96 Range Rover). Yes, Land Rover triumphed, due to establishment. They're basically Fords now, too.
I own a Laforza also. I've had the same problems as you, for the most part. Laforza's can be a handful, but, like all Italian cars, they seem worth it in the end. You just have to be willing to work with this car, or any car for that matter. You're a true enthusiast if you can handle such an orphan. Sounds like you've got a nice Laforza.
Hello Guys I also own a LAFORZA well a few of them and I work on them every day, I have stripped them to nothing I pretty much know every parts on the LAFORZA and Have Delt with evey problem one could amagine it could have. I can help you with the Under powered electrical system, It's just miss understood by most michanics on the LAFORZA if the an electrical items doesn't work it most likely is just the fuse "EVEN if it LOOKS GOOD" it's oxidized just spin the fuse. As far as the Slow Windows, Dim headlights, slow wipers, can't see the dash Gages at night. I have solved that issue I have LAFORZA Electrical Wire Upgrade Stage 1 & Stage 2 that will solve those issues. Feel free to call me I can guide you through and pin point most of your issues before you even have to take the LAFORZA to the shop.

Very attractive auto and stylish.
I recently purchased a 1989 Laforza Laforza with 75,000 miles on it. I have not put it on the road as yet, as I am having the same electrical problems as everyone else. I know most of it is the fuses, but where do you buy them; they are different that's for sure.
I'm also having a problem with electric fuel pump; it still pumps fuel after the ignition is turned off. Any help with this would be appreciated.
Also, does anyone know the cost of the electrical upgrade for this vehicle?
Thanks for your help.
Other than above mentioned, the car runs great and handles excellent.
