A '75 model with double-glazing?

I thought this feature was only introduced by Mercedes and BMW in about 1994?

Mr. Jackson!

This review is from a 1995 Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

The S600 was only introduced in 1992.

Thank you for clarifying that.

I thought it was some strange European-only model that I wasn't aware of. I guess the equivalent model in 1975 would be a 6.9 or a 450SEL.

It is not necessarily for a 1995 S600, though it most likely is. There was a 600 (no S, SL, or anything else, just a 600) manufactured from the mid 1960s all the way up to at least the early 1970s, and I think possibly through to 1981. It was the car the 6.3L M100 V8 that eventually wound up in the 300SEL 6.3 and later in enlarged form in the 450SEL 6.9 was initially designed for.

Double-glazing was available way sooner than 1994, I am not a car expert but can think of one 1991 BMW 7 E32 that already had double-glazing.
