I had the same problem... Changing the oil pressure switch fixed it. Now my car is very squeaky... Hoping it is the brakes. I've also had to do a number of repairs... And many of them cost a lot of money for the parts. Boo!

The water pump in these cars is internal. If it leaks, they sludge like crazy and kill the engine. I'd have it checked. Poor design, there are a series of YouTube videos about this, look up Sebring oil sludge. First symptom is the oil light flickering...
