Had a similar problem with my 3.0 SVE; turned out to be the headlight washer pump; it was leaking inside and shorting out the electronics, and that made the wipers go front and back at the same time and spray the headlights. A new pump was about £40ish from the Nissan dealers and was fitted in two minutes.

Your wiper blades are coming on due to a stuck wiper relay! It could have had water ingress; there was no need for a new stalk!
