The catalytic convertor could be blocked; mine had the same problem and we changed everything before a Holden tech found the problem by removing the oxygen sensor, and it would then run as there was an outlet for the gases to go out.

Locate a UK forum for Vauxhall or Opel Corsa, as these are known, they would be discussing a lot of common problems.
