Beater or not, the fact remains that people come to this site to see if what they are thinking about buying will be a liability.

The problem with this car wasn't its age (only 8 years old when I bought it) or its mileage. It was the shoddy reliability, design and engineering. I've had loads of old "beater" cars and they aren't all the same.
