2001 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 Sport review from North America

2002 X-Type 3.0 Sport. Bought it march of this year with only 40,xxx miles on it, I have put on only 6k miles and last week the transmission acts up with high revs and severe jerks. Take it to the dealer and I am told, 'you need a new transmission, that will be about $7k'. Holy moly you've got to be kidding me, at 46,xxx miles!! Completely unacceptable and unbelievable. I have contacted Jaguar customer service three times now and they will not stand behind their product, offer no help, and do not feel it is an evident problem among the model. From my homework on the internet I find otherwise. I strongly feel legal action needs to be taken against this company and I am trying to get a list of names and contact numbers to take to an attorney along with any information I can find and print from the internet who has had or having the same problem. What is the point of paying the money for a 'nice' car like this if the problems like these occur. Do not give up before we try folks, we can get deserved compensation.
