2003 Renault Clio review from UK and Ireland
"No confidence in the cars build quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
After having the car for four months the airbag warning light and the "SERV" light illuminated. No handling problems.
After eight months the car began to loose power without warning. Upon stopping the car and resetting the engine management system the car started and ran for different lengths of time before the same fault occured.
I took the car to the local Renault dealer who stated that the wiring loom into the engine management computer had been damaged baring the cable cores and required replacing and/or the engine management system computer if damp had reached it. The culprit was a cover over the computer. A design fault, cutting into the loom causing a short. Once removed, no problems
General comments?
Nice nippy car to drive, easy to park.
Comfortable driving position.
A nice looking car.
