1993 Honda del Sol eg6 Si review from North America
"Targo top leaks and rattles solution"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have the same problems on my car with the top leaking and rattling. From the information that I've received on the vehicle, only the 93 model del Sol's have that issue, and it's the seals on the targa have little cracks on the seals, and once one does it, all 4 seals have to be replaced.
I went to a body shop, and the cost on replacing the seals to the targas is $510.00. Which isn't that bad.
I'm having issues with the radio, and my clock on the speedometer went out, as well as the dome light.
While installing a CD player, the back of the deck was smoking and caused these things to go out. If anyone has any ideas of what it may be, email me at nathan_cumbey22@yahoo.com to let me know the details.
Other than the top and the radio issues, the car runs fine and fast.
My plans are to fix the problems on the car, and biff the engine up to run 10's in a quarter mile.
General comments?
The del Sol's are comfortable, but when you by it from a dumb ass that sold it to you, and have to put well over 4 grand into the vehicle, it sucks ass. But hey, it runs like a dream now, and I plan to do a heck of a lot more to it.
Besides the handling is alright; need to add new struts and springs to run smoother though.
