1969 Toyota Corolla Sprinter review from Belgium
"My best buy ever"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch cable broke at 151000 km.
Differential broke due to a garage that forgot to put oil in it. I returned to the Toyota dealer afterwards for maintenance.
Driver's seat wears out.
Rust on the wings and doors: repaired and replaced in 1992 when restored.
General comments?
Bought it as a student for 300 dollars (but in Belgian Franks), had a great time with it, very reliable and still my pride.
Needed restoration in 1992.
Tends to rust, but is still in beautiful shape.
Engine unopened, no oil consumption, low gasoline consumption 7.5l/100 km.
