1986 Toyota Starlet review from UK and Ireland
"Reliable, ultra low cost driving"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to replace the alternator at 110,000 miles.
Some minor welding was required along the
underside of the body to pass the first M.O.T. test
General comments?
Acceleration is poor, but the car can easily
maintain a very reasonable pace extremely
efficiently.
Fuel efficiency is good, averaging around
40 miles per gallon for a typical commuting
cycle.
