1991 Toyota Corona GT-R review from Australia and New Zealand
"Rare performance machine"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing really bad has gone wrong.
Lately it has started to leak oil from the cam cover, fixed that, $80 gasket.
Left rear light cluster leaks water and it is getting worse, I would replace it but a new one is $120.
General comments?
This model is very rare. I know of one other in my town.
The performance interior has worn well and the factory stereo is not bad.
It does 100km/h in 9.6 seconds, which is very quick.
I've always thought the seats could be more supportive, after long distances your back starts to hurt but nothing I can't put up with.
If there are any other owners of this Corona GT-R model I would like to hear from you, e-mail me on andymcd@ihug.co.nz
