2001 GMC Sonoma review from North America
"A little too expensive for what you get"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had no problems with this vehicle.
The actual weight capacity of the bed / cargo area could be better. I have to monitor the load size as to not bottom out the springs.
General comments?
The 4.3L engine is very powerful at any speed. It has quick acceleration from a dead stop and it will jump from 65 to 85 MPH on the highway if needed.
The size of the passenger area with the third door is ideal for the four of us. My children think that it's fun to sit in the rear seat.
With no passengers, the third door is very handy for putting extra cargo, camping equipment, I can even fit my mountain bike in there.
