2000 Audi TT Quattro Roadster review from North America
"Excellent piece of hardware"
General comments?
As an owner of a 2001 Audi TT Quattro since October 2000 it seems that some of the issues described as problems can be attributed to a lack of understanding the car. The Audi owners guide is a "must read" for all owners. I have logged a total of 6700 miles thus far and one of the first things I discovered about the transmission is that a six speed is different than a four or five speed you must pay close attention when shifting as the gears are very close together. Shifting into 4th instead of 2nd or 5th instead of 3rd can result in the engine losing power and shutting down completely.
There are details about the Power windows and door locks that must be followed or the one touch function will not work correctly. My advice read your manual from front to back.
Otherwise I am very pleased. My only wish at this time is for a few more cold cranking Amps in the Battery.
