1991 Chevrolet Silverado review from North America
"The most reliable vehicle I have ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Chrome pealing away on grille.
Replaced muffler and tail pipe twice.
Replaced the Y pipe.
Replaced thermostat.
Replaced transmission at 221,000 miles with GM re-manufactured transmission.
Replaced plastic tanks connected to radiator.
Replaced alternator.
Replaced water pump.
Paint is slightly peeling on the hood.
General comments?
The interior of my truck looks almost new. Many have commented on it's appearance and cannot believe the amount of mileage or the year of the vehicle. Other than a few scratches and stone marks on the hood, my plans are to repaint the truck with the original color combination and to keep it for as long as possible.
