2000 Volkswagen Cabrio GLS review from North America
"Sweet car with many minor issues"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The ignition switch went bad (meaning the brake lights would stay on and wipers would not work.).
Hand rests on both sides are peeling.
The leather on arm rests in back are separating from car.
The drivers side molding continues to fall off.
The air conditioner light is burned out.
My black leather seats are turning red and developing cracks, even though I take very good care of them.
When car is running the idling doesn't sound healthy, it sounds as if the car may cut out. The dealership would not do anything about it, assuring me that it will not cut out.
General comments?
The car is cute and so much fun to drive.
It receives so many compliments and so much attention from other motorists.
The dash lights up an awesome bluish-purple.
The driving is smooth and the steering is tight.
