1988 Chevrolet Sprint review from North America
"Finest economy car ever built"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water pump went out resulting in burned rings, blown head gasket, and warped head.
Breaks had been poorly maintained by previous owner requiring new rotors.
Muffler rusted out.
Clutch went out while delivering Pizza.
General comments?
I love this car, it is GREAT on gas mileage, easy and relatively cheap to work on, fun to drive, and surprisingly roomy inside (I once transported a small refrigerator, a desk, and a small dresser all at once; and I got the hatch closed).
Very easy to make personalizations (I put Geo Metro seats in to replace the cheap vinyl seats).
