1997 Peugeot 406 SRi Turbo review from UK and Ireland

First thing to go wrong is the immobiliser. the wires broke off right on the edge of the unit, making it impossible to solder back on. I approached Peugeot Main Dealers and they said, SORRY! no solution. We don't do a replacement plug!.. They were so wrong, apparently, they don't show it on the systems for parts, but service know about it, and they are £10.54 + vat. I've had the car for 3 years and that's all its broke down on! MEGA CAR!

I bought it totally standard pushing 150bhp from the 2.0 turbo engine. I had a stainless steel performance exhaust hand made (Powerflow) for it, had it chipped to 220bhp and had a dash 31 actuator fitted (as the original spring wasnt strong enough to take the upprated boost I had running through it (13lbs). I then had a bleed valve added on and its cossie killer material. its so fast and so smooth, you touch the pedal and it just purrs to 100mph in a few seconds. you don't realise when you put the pedal down, you see the people right who were right behind you a quarter of a mile back in just a few seconds. very fast and very very nice to drive!
