2002 Nissan Frontier XE 4x4 review from North America
"Absolute best 4-door small pickup for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The molding on the front passenger side tire is coming loose. This is probably due to a nice smack it took while offroading. It looks like it's held on by rivets on the backside, so I'll go ahead and fix it before it pops off completely.
General comments?
I've been waiting for years (about 10) for Nissan or Toyota to come out with the four-door small truck in the US. I fell for them back in '91 in Honduras, and have been looking forward to buying one ever since. I finally did, and I am definitely not sorry for it. I do wish the engine would get better gas mileage (about 16 on reg. unleaded). I REALLY wish Nissan would make a small diesel engine an option, as they do overseas. Also, the seatbelt is hard to latch when wearing a heavy coat, due to its location just next to the center console.
