1992 Oldsmobile Ciera SL review from North America
"I am more than satisfied with this Olds. (Extremely reliable!)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I replaced the rack because the seals were leaking oil. Both rear brake hoses cracked and were replaced. Normal brake pad/shoe wear, replaced once by me. A few burnt lights. Window wiring that passes into the L/F door broke. (cold weather had an affect on this!! -20C to -35C) Gas tank and fuel sender in gas tank rotted. (again due to the weather, lots of road salt in the North!) L/F brake hose " snapped off "
in -39C weather!
General comments?
I can't complain at all with this car.
The car was given to me as a gift, and I don't think that I have even put $1000.00 (Canadian) worth of work into it;seriously!!
I forgot to mention that the transmission has a "harsh" up-shift.
The car rides quite well on it's original suspension, although the strut mounts "clunk" a bit over rough roads.
