1980 Toyota Celica LT2000 review from Australia and New Zealand
"Worth every cent"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Flat battery.
Right headlight blew.
Clutch (pressure plate and thrust bearing) changed.
Tires replaced with re-alignment.
Front brakes replaced - discs and pads.
Rocker cover gasket replaced.
General comments?
Outstanding reliability and economy. I rate the performance and handling as satisfactory: the 2 Lt engine yields 75 KW of power and the turning circle is around 10 meters with direct and comfortable steering.
Very comfortable interior with a "cockpit" type dash and sleek low mounted seats. Not considered a "sports car" of its time, but certainly well presented and stylish.
