1993 Acura Legend L review from North America
"It is said that I spend more time taking care of my car than on my health"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Changed radiator at 58k, had a leak.
Changed rotors both front rotors, because I waited too long to change brake pads.
Repaired left front arm due to accident
the seat are OK, but have definitely worn out, though not torn.
My front windows do not shut well, you can hear the hissing sound from wind when I drive.
The left-rear window doesn't work
had a hole on the muffler mended
just started getting an occasional noise in the transmission box when initially shifting gears.
General comments?
Bought car from single owner. first car out of college in 1997.
I checked out consumer reports for cars with best wear&tear/depreciation value. the Legend, the Saturn and the Gm suburban were listed.
Used only synthetic oil since buying the car.
I intend to replace a lot of engine parts this summer, just in order to keep the car going. plan on spending 2k-3k. plan on driving this car until it drops dead.
I thought my legend had the most mileage with 217k miles, until I was told by dealership service men they worked on one with 395k miles. now I know I can hit 400k miles with proper and regular servicing of the car.
Of course the engine doesn't sound new or totally quiet, but the car runs good.
