1994 Volkswagen Passat GLX review from North America
"What a great car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Needed new ball joints at 100,000 miles.
Rear passenger window actuator broken at 100,000 miles.
Heater Controls melted at 120,000 miles.
It is hard to get tires for the origional wheels.
This car is a serious performer, and I am a pilot, I know performance. This car will beat Mustang Gt's on the highway. Keep in mind that it gets about 29mpg at 70mph.
General comments?
This car is an excellent piece of German engineering.
It handles great and is a fast car overall, but really goes like hell on the highway.
The engine has performed well throught its lifetime, though it really needs permium gas.
This car came with BBS wheels, that is sweet.
My car has never been in a garage, but it still looks great. There is no rust.
