What things have gone wrong with the car?
BMW agreed to replace the VANOS as a gesture of goodwill and precuation, not as an official recall, even though I brought the car privately. So, full marks to BMW UK.
Airbag loom replaced twice.
Other than these incident very reliable and certainly has not left me stranded.
General comments?
I have owned many cars from the BMW stable. These include a 2002 turbo, M3, M5, 535, M6 highline and M1 and the Mcoupe in my opinion one of the finest car they have ever produced.
Ugly? Hmm
Individual Yes.
The Mcoupe's thuggish looks, especially in black, makes mothers gather up thier children. It's a car that would not look out of place at Sanapod drag strip in the funny car runs, designed by a 10 year old in math's lessons with its four great organ pipes for exhausts, big wheels at the back and smaller wheels at the front.
