1973 MG BGT review from North America
"This is a great looking fun to drive classic sports car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electronic ignition went out. The car now has points.
There are a few leaks in the front when it rains.
When sitting in traffic the car will run hot, but this could possibly be due to the engine modifications, and no cooling system modifications.
General comments?
This car is one of the most fun cars to drive. My car handles very well, this is due to the suspension upgrades and the wheel and tire combo. I added a rear sway bar also for auto-crossing. My performance rating 6/10 is all for the handling of this car. If it had more power it would have been given a much higher rating.
This car is not fast off the line by any means. The engine in my car has been modified quite a bit, but still lacks in power.
The interior is quite comfortable. This climate control on the other hand is not to much to talk about. However some models do have air conditioning, but that will be hard to come by in working order.
One of the most impressive things about this car is the styling. Its now 30 years old and still has the look that will turn many heads.
