1975 Datsun 120Y review from Australia and New Zealand
"I've only driven a few cars (high performance ones to) but nothing is as reliable or cost effective"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Valve stem cells needed replacing. Blew a bit of smoke as a result of slight oil leakage.
Crack in dashboard.
General comments?
Sticks to the road like nothing else.
Awesome fuel economy (roughly 500km on the 43L tank)
For a 1171 cc 1975 model a top speed of around 150 km/h is great.
Changed all head gaskets, exhaust gaskets, cleaned push-rods, and replaced valve stem cells in under 3 hours.
