1998 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado review from North America
"Good looking ride, comfortable, but expensive to run"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The emission system continued to show a warning. I went through two weeks of changing sensors with one mechanic before determining that the once the filler was cleaned up, the fuel cap would seat properly, and presto no more warning lights.
General comments?
Tough on fuel economy.
The fuel pump is very noisy and it is not pleasant to drive with the rear slider open or the vented cab windows open.
I noticed a knocking on startup. I use synthetic oil and it seems to help a lot.
The handling is fair for number of clicks on it.
