1989 Cadillac DeVille Sedan review from North America
"Luxury,reliability and durability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 145,000 miles, the transmission was rebuilt for $750.00.
Also needed a new radiator at the 175,000 mile mark costing $360.00.
Water pump costing $600.00 installed around 182,000 miles.
Front axle half shaft was also replaced for $215.00 at 182,000 miles.
At around 200,000 miles an idle speed control motor was bought at an auto parts store for $38.00 and replacement was easily done by myself.
Some rust starting to eat small holes in fender well area under the car.
General comments?
Excellent running car with good handling, no body lean and plenty of power to merge and pass.
Very comfortable interior.
Exceptional forward and side views of road.
Small back window hampers rearward view.
Combined city/highway gas mileage of 19.4.
