2002 Kia Carnival review from Australia and New Zealand
"Good vehicle for families"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
SAFETY
Engine blows
Caused by manufacturing flaws.
Loss of power steering
Loss of effective braking capacity.
At high speed may cause loss of control.
General comments?
Whats is a KIA Carnival worth?
A GOOD vehicle let down by a list as big as your arm.
Kia what have you done??
Latest info from KIA The problem with the engines appear to be from the sleeves they use. They dislodge and cause the oil/water to mix and "BLOW" the engine.
How many are affected?
My best guess is all models 1999-2002/3.
Total number best guess 10,000 or more.
Kia is not telling the owners of this problem.
Why??? Why not a national recall?
When the engine "BLOWS", you loose power steering, brake effectiveness.
SAFETY-SAFETY-SAFETY.
