What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear pinion seal 70k
transmission cooler lines 60k
oil cooler lines 70k
intake manifold gasket 56k
water pump around 60k
upper/lower ball joints 70k
idler arm 70k
signal/wiper switch 60k
ignition switch 65k
A/C compressor 80k
around 50k... 4 low no longer engages.
Heat shield on exhaust vibrating.
General comments?
This has been one of the most costly vehicles I have owned to date. My wife has just clock 92k miles on her 1998 GMC and it continues to cost me quite a bit to keep it going.
Overall performance and comfort are OK.
It gets fair gas mileage on the highway, but it only compares to a bigger v8. I can get 18MPG in my newer Chevy truck.
I myself wished I would have been able to read a survey on the vehicle prior to purchasing as I would have kept FAR away. I am a firm believer in buying GM vehicles, but think they failed miserably on this one.
I DO NOT recommend that anyone buy this vehicle regardless of the amount of miles.
