1987 Pontiac GTA review from North America
"I love my GTA"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine went at 130,000 (my fault).
Transmission went at 140,000.
Replaced starter, radiator, water pump, fuel pump and pretty much everything else other than the suspension and fuel injection. (most of which was replaced because of malfunction, but some of it just because my baby needed it)
General comments?
This is the best car I've ever owned and definitely the fastest car I've ever driven.
The thing has more power than most people would know what to do with and it handles like a dream. Every time I see one of those signs that say 40mph turn. I know I'm going to fly around the bend at at least 80mph.
There isn't much on the street that can keep up with a GTA. I've smoked porches, corvettes (excluding the new Z06 of course), mustangs, every other camaro and firebird (new and old) and every Japanese made car on the road.
I recently had my GTA involved in an accident(not my fault) and i was wondering if anyone has any valuable information on where I can find a frame and fenders (no aftermarket) and a spoiler. I would greatly appreciate it, my beast is pretty beat up and I need to get her back on the road as soon as possible.
