1997 Peugeot 406 SL review from UK and Ireland
"Relatively cheap motorway cruiser"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Door trim keeps falling off.
Left rear speaker blew.
Temp gage gets stuck.
Very jumpy when changing from 1st to 2nd
gear.
General comments?
Overall is an OK car, but the 1.8 engine
is seriously under powered, I'd think twice about over taking as even when you drop a gear the response is not what you'd expect. The interior is fine, but starting to look outdated and doesn't seem to stand the test of time very well, but if your looking for a car with fairly good looks, reasonable fuel economy 510 miles on full tank (a lot of motorway miles) then is worth a look.
