"Great Car if it was still around"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electrical went bad for the radio and the gauges ($150)
Air condition compressor went bad and cost me ($350) to replace.
Rear window motors went out for both sides.
Right rear door will not lock by its self or manually.
Motor in headlamp flaps went out.
Rear running tail lamps went out.
General comments?
The car has 81000 miles on it I just received it a few days ago it was my grandmas car and has been only used to travel it has been babied and never drove over 65mph.
I just turned 16 a few days ago I took it out for the first time and got up on its strong running 3.0L V6 Mitsubishi engine and I was surprised of its performance!
My mom has a 2000 Mustang it only has a 3.8L V6 but I have to say my New Yorker will smoke that car.
The New Yorker is a cruiser if you want to race the New
Yorker is not for you don't get me wrong it gets up good its just there is not too many performance upgrades for the New Yorker.
The car is very comfortable it rides similar to a Cadillac It soaks ups the bumps with ease and begs for more its has very comfortable seats and the rear seat is big all though the car isn't to big which I think is good my Grandpas crown victoria seems huge to the New Yorker.
The car looks good and I nor my grandmas has have any major engine problems the only problem I have had is the 1st day I received it I got up on the engine and when I got to my house I turned around in my driveway and I had the wheel cut all the way as I shift in reverse the engine died, but started right back up. The only thing I think it can be is it just is not use to running hard or bad fuel pump.
