2002 BMW 3 Series SE review from UK and Ireland
"If BMW worked on Friday Afternoon this is the car they made"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New seat covers at 11000 miles. Leather had worn. As of now they are ready for replacing again.
Coil pack on all four cylinders replaced at seperate intervals. BMW say it's a fault they know about.
The oil pump broke at 36000 miles and damaged engine beyond repair. One month out of warranty, but BMW fitted new engine foc.
LED display now only half lit and mileage reading 139000 instead of 39000.
Boot catch has a mind of its own as does the roof. When it's down, won't go up. When it's up, won't go down.
Rear window demister comes on every time the car is started.
AND todays fault, aircon not working.
General comments?
Took car in March 2002 and even after all it's faults will be sorry to see it go next week.
Super car to drive, super looking, but so badly built that I won't be having another.
I must have had the worst car ever built by BMW.
