2004 Lamborghini Gallardo review from North America
"Cheaper than Murcielago, Better looking, and almost as fast"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with the car. The clutch is still good with 2300 miles, even though the clutch is bad on these cars.
General comments?
First off, the car is not mine. I'm 19 and could only dream of owning this piece of art. The area where my aunt and Uncle live is very affluent, however. Twin-turbo 911's, an SL65 Amg, Lotus Esprit V8, Bently GT, and many other cars are seen daily where they live. I go to their house whenever I get the chance.
I was at their house this past August. My cousin and I were walking in from his shed when we heard this loud exhaust. From where we were standing I couldn't see what it was. I asked my cousin what kind of car that was, and he said it was Tony's new lambo. Later on that day we went to Tony's house. The Gallardo is black, with black rims and it has E-Gear. After standing outside looking at the car for what seemed like forever, I went inside. Tony asked what I thought of the car. After explaining that this is probably the best looking car ever, he asked if I wanted to drive it. After turning it on and hearing that huge V10 right behind you, the sound just makes the hairs on your neck rise. We drove it through downtown Minneapolis, and that was just crazy. People were giving us thumbs-up, or screaming "Nice Car." After calming down and getting used to the attention, I turned to its performance. My Uncle owns a Panoz AIV Roadster, which is 2500lbs and 305 hp. It has no grip at all which makes it a blast to drive. But the Lambo is a totally different story. The car just begs to be pushed. You keep pushing it harder and harder thinking your reached the limits only to find out that it's only started.
The interior is pretty nice. The Audi touch is quite nice. Going on our little trip I didn't even think about turning on the radio. The V10 was the best music I have ever heard. I've heard that the ride is hard and a little rough, but come on people, do you really buy a lambo for comfort? You buy it for style and speed, and I feel the Gallardo captures those two quite well.
