"Superb car, best I've had in 25 years"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Snapped drivebelt shaft at 55k.
Locked seatbelts (2) at 65k.
General comments?
Everything one could want in a car. If I could afford one (mine is a company car) it is the one I would buy, though probably the estate. Hence I can't comment on running costs, but a 70k service at the main dealer cost £95.
Comfortable. Superb climate control, not just aircon.
Even though automatic, an excellent towcar.
Easy to use and useful computer.
When they say an obsession with detail, they aren't kidding!
Latest models have on-steering wheel radio controls and side airbags (++safety). Little I can see that would make it better. No, I don't work for VW!!!
