1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS review from North America
"Awesome little car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Check engine light wouldn't go off turned out to be a crack in the gas tank, was fixed though.
Brakes squeak. I have replaced the pads 2 times, and they still squeak.
The seals around the windows leak sometimes.
Steering wheel vibrates when you hit 85mph.
When it's wet or dry, the back end slides and fishtails.
General comments?
This is my second Mitsubishi Eclipse within 2 years. I sadly lost my 1999 Eclipse RS on May 4, 2005. I bought this 1997 GS three days later. This car has been great overall. It handles very well with my driving.
It's a peppy little car. This car is definitely not for someone who wants a street racer, though.
The look of this car is wonderful. I love
the looks I get.
