1996 Dodge Dakota Sport review from North America
"Overall dependable truck has paid itself off many times over"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Major problem is the doors. Hinges have gone bad on both and the metal frame had to be replaced and has started to go bad again.
Seat belt digs into my neck.
Power steering makes funny sound when making tight turns. i.e. parking.
Sometimes has trouble starting when there's a lot of moisture in the air.
Crankshaft sensor at 140000 miles.
General comments?
Overall a dependable truck.
Biggest pain is only opening the door partially and sliding in to prevent further door damage. Cost me $400 to fix once. Won't pay that again.
I change the oil and filter regularly. Run injector cleaner through ever time I change the oil.
I feel I could get another 75,000 out of this truck pretty easily (as long as the doors don't fall off)
