1989 Audi 80 SE review from UK and Ireland
"Solid reliable comfortable ride"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Lower front suspension bush replaced
constant velocity joint replaced
exhaust system replaced.
General comments?
This car is very reliable and loves the motorway, but around town the manual steering is a bit heavy.
Being automatic it's not very economical.
The usual noisy tappets on cold start.
Shame it's a manual choke, but starts well when cold, difficult when hot.
Typical solid and well engineered German build quality.
All the many electrical gadgets still work well.
Difficult to find a good reason to get rid of it!
