1998 Mazda 323 GXI review from UK and Ireland
"Stunning - This car was way ahead of its time when it first came out."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front headlight bulb needed replacing. This had nothing to do with the car as these things happen. Cost: £5.99.
General comments?
I love this car to pieces. Best car that I have owned. It looks excellent. It drives like a dream. Handling and gear changes are flawless. Totally reliable. The exhaust makes a nice boy-racer-ish type of voom when hitting 3 revs, but in no way chavy. This is the exhaust that came standard. The one downside of this car is that fact that it could do with a bit more ommphh, but that's about it. Afterall it is only a 1.5. Fuel consumption is also great with about 38mpg. A lot of the reviews on this site state that the rearview window is difficult to see through, but for me I don't find it difficult at all. The car is also easy to park. This car is in a class of it's own. When I am done with this car I may decide to go for the V6 type Mazda 323 but this will come in time.
In summary, this car is great. Excellent looks, reliability, handling and comfort.
