1991 Volvo 740 Turbo review from North America
"A wagon that will fly for very little money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front right wheel hub assembly.
Rear right brake light.
General comments?
An excellent second hand car. I am perhaps the fourth owner of this car, but you can't tell.
The 2.25L turbocharged engine is very lively when taunted. It travels nicely on the highway acheiving a fuel mileage of about 26mpg. I only put supreme gas in it, due to the turbo. Many people think that becuase it's an old volvo wagon that it is slow, this is not the case. Police leave you alone for the most part. I've driven past them many times over the limit.
I would recommend a good used volvo RWD 700 series. These cars are some of the finest volvo's ever produced.
