1992 Nissan Primera eGT review from UK and Ireland

The following were all the case when I bought it:

Oil is leaking from a few places.

Weak window motors.

Clutch bearing whines.

Clutch has issues with reverse on occasion.

Since I owned it (mainly due to rough driving on rally-esque roads)

Engine mount slight crack.

Exhaust bracket worn.

Great performance / economy balance.

150bhp is enough for most blasts, but obviously not an M3 slayer. The engine can take a lot more though, and the handling is pretty good.

Although it may screech in corners it sticks to the roads like glue.

It has plenty of pull if you need it and can be revved hard (7500rpm limit). Holds its own against many cars and has run with friends' Civic Type-Rs before (though not keeping up for the most part - those cars are something else, but still keeps pulling towards its limit of 138mph - not that I've tried)

Leathers are comfortable though slightly worn, but it is a 14 year old car. Boot space is vast, legroom is brilliant even for my 6ft 2 frame. Can't complain with the interior and controls aside from lack of cup-holders ;)

Cheap to pick up and insure (£600 and £1100 respectively - 23 0yrs NCB, 3 points)

Note: Mine was labelled "SE" by the dealership (as well as the 2.0 eGT badge) -it is the dealer principle model with all the added extras and I love it!
