2004 Hyundai Matrix LX 1.6 Gasoline

Summary:

It is a piece of art

Faults:

After 100 KM the drive steering wheel became slightly pointed to the right side and not in the normal position during straight moving.

The central lock sometimes get jammed in the right rear door.

General Comments:

The italian design is genius, it is spacious, comfortable, reliable, they were interrested in small details, especially inside the car.

The driver seat is very comfortable, there is a large space for legs for both seats in the front and rear.

Getting into the car is very smooth and easy even for the elders.

There is a space for everything.

The car is easy to drive, maneuver, and park due to its compact size.

Pick ups is slightly slow, it's better when the overload drive button is on.

The consumption of the fuel is slightly high (9 to 10 KM/1 Liter).

The car is very stable at high speeds, but it's a little bit noisy as well.

You can drive it without any tension or stress with effective and good control.

This car is DEFINITELY NOT junk. Its looks were quirky and controversial in early 2000's, but now (2011) the look fits right in with current automotive styling. In a way, its looks have improved with age.

It has been the MOST practical, spacious, comfortable, economical and reliable car I have ever owned, and it's a pleasure to drive (a little sluggish, but excellent road-holding around the corners), especially for long distance trips.

2005 Hyundai Matrix LT 1.6 gasoline

Summary:

It is all in one, the best car I have ever seen .

Faults:

The automatic central locking is not working properly.

General Comments:

The car is very spacious and handles great, however it is a bit noisy at high speeds.

The car is happier and stable at high speeds.

The driver's high seating position gives you a great impression as if you are in an air plane!

The rear seats are slightly elevated to give the rear passengers a better view for the road ahead.

The car is very very practical!

However, the fuel consumption is a bit annoying, but it's not a problem for me.

The Italian design of the car attracts the sight of every one on the road.

Handling is great and it's small length (Only 4025 mm) gives you a great ability to maneuver and park.

Finally, it's a lot of fun to drive this car.

This is an excellent good priced car with all of these options. i bought it from Egypt, but the problem is the two months waiting list. Any how it is easily manipulated and the problem is in the central looking and the radio which is not easily manipulated.

For urban city driving, Its about 11 liters for every 100 kilometers, For high way driving with a speed of 100km/h, Its about 7 liters for every 100 kilometers, By the way, Its tank capacity is 55 liters.

Have fun '

My Hyundai Matrix engine is shaking, what are the possible causes?

2005 Hyundai Matrix 1.6

Summary:

Overall the car offers great value for money

Faults:

Paint was scrubbed off of front bumper due an encounter with a sand storm.

Front headlights and fog lights were partially damaged due to the sand storm.

Left windscreen wash nozzle is not working.

General Comments:

Just had the car for 22 days now and all looks good.

The cars stability seems good as well as its engine kick-off.

Cockpit's material feels and looks a bit cheap.

Lots of space in the seating area, but the trunk is a little tight due to the rear wheels spring mountings that eat from its space.

Car comes without rear wiper, trunk cover board, tweeter speakers nor driver's armrest. Which is all a little frustrating, specially the armrest.

Loudspeakers are too weak and sound gets distorted at mild volume level. Will have them replaced with another brand.

Front seats don't move backward far enough to accommodate tall people.

Visibility is great due to the tall front windscreen and high seating position.

Car rides high above the ground, which is great. Feels like riding in an SUV.
