1994 Mazda 121 Bubble 1.3L 16v

Summary:

A Hidden Sports Car, Waiting for you to make it Sporty

Faults:

Absolutely Nothing.

General Comments:

This car is very quick. It has got quite a big engine for it's size and weight.

Very carefully chosen gear ratios.

Very spacious and comfortable for its size and weight.

Economic and environmental friendly.

Very reliable, which proves the expertise of the Japanese cars and Mazda.

All I did to the car is tuned it a little speedier and inserted a sporty set of alloys and wider tires.

The above resulted in better grips when it comes to cornering, better acceleration due to more tire friction and certainly a more sporty look.

Initially this is not a sports car, but it only needs very little modification to make it a very sporty car.

Raced it against Honda Civic 1.6L 16V Honda Prelude 20L Turbo, Peugeot 206 XT, Toyota Starlet 1.5 16v and got the better of them especially in 1st - 3rd gear acceleration and cornering.

This is probably due to its small size and light weight and the magnificent Mazda made 16V on a 1.3L engine.

This car performed better also because of less wheel spin.

My next project on this car will be light side-skirts and possibly rear spoiler.

I am only 20 years old and my sports racing heart is in love with this car.

I will probably never think about getting a different model.

This is also because it's a family gift for my 20th birthday, since my last model, newly owned, gave me loads of trouble when it came to reliability and had to sell it for a low price.

Hey I agree. I have the i.3 auto. Though mine looks sporty because of the Mazda speed body kit. Front bumper kit, Rear bumper, Headlight covers, And 2 spoilers one mounted to the roof the other on the boot. Oh yea it also has a rage pro system back box and blue neons to match the car.

Just one question what size of alloys did you install on your Mazda. as the standard ones are only small 13". And id like to install 15"+
