1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS 25th Anniversary Edition 3.1 V6

Summary:

Great all around. This car is amazing

Faults:

The car had a bad power steering pump when I bought it.

Alternator went out the second week I had it.

General Comments:

Love this car. I have had almost no problems with it.

The alternator went out on it when I was driving back from Las Vegas. I was about 70 miles from home, and it still drove me all the way there with no alternator.

The body on this car is sleek, sexy, and very strong.

I hit a guard rail with it getting onto the highway (my fault), and all that happened was a small dent on the fender.

I get about 27 MPG in this car; better than my old 2005 Ford Taurus.

For a V6, the car will still get up, and it handles great.

1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS 5.0 TBI

Summary:

This will be my car forever

Faults:

Relays, temperature gauge. Primarily because of previous owner. I wore the ball joints, idler arm, bearings, bushing and other misc parts for the under body. At 200,000 what do you expect. For a sports car that is good. My mom has been through 6 cars while I have had this one, and it is still going.

General Comments:

It has been a good car. I am an engineer. I have pushed this thing in several limits. Pushed for economy, hyper mile it and you can get 32 MPG; push it and you're lucky to get 12 MPG. It is a fun ride.

Seats have worn out; the kid who had it before me.

The engine has been good, and the tranny has been okay. Rear end, well I snapped the rear LOL. My fault, but no complaints.

Other than the environmentally friendly paint they used that peels, I love this car and will drive it till it falls apart. Insurance is cheap.

1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS 505 V8

Summary:

Best car ever made

Faults:

Passenger window is off track.

Speedometer quit working second day.

General Comments:

I love love love this car to death. This is my cream car, it's the first car I've ever owned and I couldn't be happier with it.

The car runs great, it does smoke a little, which is typical of Camaros. There's a little tiny seal underneath EVERYTHING that tends to go out, but it's not a big problem and far too expensive to fix.

There's very little storage space. No side panels, no glove box, no nada.

Great hatchback if you want to put a system with some subs in. Hits really hard.

Getting spare ignition keys made are really expensive, so don't lose them.

However, this car is a head turner, runs excellent. Take care of this car and it will take care of you. Wash it, detail it, change the oil, keep up regular maintenance, you'll have no trouble.

1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Heritage Edition 5.0 Tuned Port Injection

Summary:

Great First Muscle Car!

Faults:

My mechanic put a Flowmaster on the car as I was signing the papers to buy it. He put the muffler to close to my gas tank. While I was driving in 100 degree heat, My car lost all power almost suddenly, at the time I was merging and I didn't not make the merge and was T-boned by a 02 Hyundai Sonata. The Sonata was totaled but I walked away with some moderate damage. It was due to the muffler heating my gas tank and the gas melted my injectors.

I got my injectors replaced at 92,250 miles. I had to get a new oil filter at 92,500. I also had to replace my fuel pump at 92,550.

General Comments:

This car is very quick, the 305 engine needs a modern day tune, but you'll be surprised how the car runs against modern cars. I would not advise getting the TBI model, they are slow as honda civics.

The automatic is good and the manual tranny works well.

I have the automatic tranny and it shifts strong and makes me lose control of the car all the time.

Speaking of losing control, upgrade the tires on this car!!! I was racing a '89 Mustang and I was ahead by 1 car length, then my car shifted into 4th and I lost control and T-boned him. RIP Adam.

There was no cop, it was on a lonely desert road. So lonely you could kill someone and get away with it. I would know.
