1992 Chevrolet S-10 Regular Cab, 2wd 2.5 liter Iron Duke

Summary:

Perfect for beginners

Faults:

A heat sensor went out.

The oxygen sensor went out.

Starting to rust from the inside out.

General Comments:

Its not a good truck for the snow.

The 2.5 liter engine is not very powerful.

Very good beginners vehicle, my truck has been tortured by many new drivers and it is still running strong.

Overall, it's a very good truck for the money, but if I ever got another one, I would buy a 4wd or an s-10 with a 4.3 v-6 in it.

1992 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe 4.3L

Summary:

Great little truck!!!

Faults:

Thermostat seal.

Hub caps don't fit right unless the lug nuts are just right.

RUST!!!

General Comments:

Love the truck...it's my little work horse.

Great power for the size almost too much.

The rust is a big problem, but I don't know how the previous owner took care of it. It looks like it's never seen a coat of wax before, but I've fixed that so we'll see how it handles this winter.

Get extended cab if your tall. I'm only 5'7" and it comfy to me, but my 6'3" friends knees are at the dash.

1992 Chevrolet S-10 LS 2.4

Summary:

Longest lasting trucks on the road

Faults:

Well the radiator and the rest of the cooling system went out at about 75000 miles, which is normal I suppose.

The head liner is gone.

The tape player went out before I got it, and the speakers gave up at about 65000 miles.

The steering wheel broke in half while I was on the freeway, probably my fault though, I don't do well in traffic.

The pain on my Chevy and any Chevy is terrible, my gloss grey is now primer grey, and I did nothing to it.

General Comments:

I am proud of my little truck, cause no matter how much I beat on it, it just keeps going.

1992 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe 4.3L V6

Summary:

Best thing I ever bought!!!

Faults:

Paint had started to chip.

Middle console hinge broke.

A/C fan level switch broken, won't click to each level, but it still changes level.

Driver side power window no longer works.

General Comments:

The original A/C still works after all this time.

I have never had any engine or transmission problems ever!!!

Rides a little rough, but hey, it is a truck!!

Definitely worth getting the extended cab.

Seats are running a little thin, but still comfortable.

When you give it gas, it goes.

The gas mileage is pretty good for a V6 (20mpg).
